Care Instructions

Sussex products strive to provide you with the best possible finish on your tapware and therefore recommend the following care instructions to maintain the quality appearance for generations to come.

To clean use a soft sponge or cloth with soft soap or water should be used at all times.

Special Surface Finishes

Black Chrome / Gold Finish (all gold finishes are coated in 23 carat gold)

To clean use warm soapy water with a soft cloth, or a non-abrasive wax DO NOT use abrasive detergents and cloths as they will cut into the coating and blemish the finish.

Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel Showers and Tapware are constructed from high quality marine grade 316 Stainless Steel. Made in Australia for the Australian environment, and although built to withstand harsher seaside conditions, stainless steel may develop a “tea staining” (spots of discolouration) caused in warm chloride (salty) environments. It is important to know that stainless steel is not rust and corrosion proof, just resistant. The care instructions below should be followed routinely:

To clean use warm soapy water and a soft cloth. For difficult stains a synthetic scourer with soapy water may be used, working in same direction as surface grain After cleaning always rinse with clean water and towel dry DO NOT use steel wool or steel brushes as these leave particles that will rust/corrode the steel.
